Lisa lives and works in Ypsilanti where she is involved with all things sustainable. She is a co-founder of Co-op Orchard of Ypsilanti, Transition Ypsi, and Women With Wings West; gardens with Growing Hope and the Ypsi Growers Co-op; is a beekeeper and marketing coordinator for the Ypsi Food Co-op; and runs the Local Honey Project. Her home includes a root cellar, raised bed and edible landscaping, water collection systems, permaculture-inspired urban farming, a 3.1 kW solar array, top-bar beehives, and much more.

Her goal in this blog is to record the process of sorting out the wheat from the chaff, the meaningful from the inane, the story from the anecdote, the keepers from the crap.
